Sorry, folks. Being away from the computer means I don’t get new blogs posted very often. I was going to write about football last week (12th) and then this week (13th), but I just haven’t had time. I may try to get the football one written yet – I did pretty badly last week – 7/8 – but this week I had 12/3 – but then we all missed the Texas/A&M game. Really thought the Aggies would win, and they would have if the game had ended 2 minutes earlier. But boy, those Baylor Bears. I just knew they were going to beat Oklahoma, and they did. And then RGIII went down with a concussion this past weekend. Well, he seems to be up and about, so maybe he will be alright for the game. At least the substitute quarterback was darn good too.
Of my teams: Penn State lost to Wisconsin; LSU is still going strong, and fast becoming my number one team; Auburn lost to Alabama – that was expected; Boise State won; Notre Dame lost to Stanford – strangely enough with the record in ND’s favour, I knew this one would go the way it did; OK State did not play and Iowa State lost to Oklahoma.
Well, it appears I have about half-written this blog – just left out my average compared to the newspaper’s seven writers (I am pretty much behind them), so maybe I’ll hit week 14 and then have a blog to write about the bowls, and make my predictions for them.
I wish BCS weren’t so tied up with money and prestige; frankly LSU and Houston, the only unbeaten teams left, should be able to play one another for the championship. But Houston won’t even get into a bowl game, unless it is some really obscure one.
PS: NASCAR – I was not surprised Tony won the cup; I am really going to be cheering for Dale Jr. next year. And as for the two Busch brothers, well, never mind.
