Well, here we go, as I expected to happen. Publicity for people allegedly sexually abused by a coach at Penn State, which has spread over to one of the finest men in coaching history, and which happened nearly ten years ago, and now we get 39- and 46-year-old stepbrothers filing suits against a Purdue coach for alleged sexual abuse back in the 90s.
Where will it end? Is this country’s men really that debauched. Because Catholics have said it is sinful to lie with a woman, do we have a world of men who then think it is okay to get their pleasures from boys, and the younger the better? Or is it just the media, and the need for our 15-minutes-of-fame, that get these stories going?
I don’t know. I just know I have a problem with good men’s names being smeared through the mud for recognition. I think if these things are true, they should be handled in a better manner, without all those young men who are traumatized by the real perps having to go through the scrutiny of strangers.
